Bi-Racial Mixed Children/People in America Today

I was watching a video about Bi-Racial Mixed Children and it touched my heart. I think it's wrong and hard for them to have to decide which parent they want to claim. It all balls down to divisiveness. Why should any child/person have to deny one of their parents? Essentially that is what it is. They are both races not one. The boxes they have people check should be changed. Because the races are now being mixed so much in today's time they should update the boxes for people to choose from. Why should "other" be the only option for you being something else, mixed, bi-racial? Something other than one full blooded race? No one in this world is 100% pure of anything! They should add a box that says mixed or bi-racial. The whole idea of picking out the melting pot of color a person is is disheartening. If I was mixed or bi-racial there is no way I would want to pick one over the other, because I am both my parents. Their mixing together made me who/what I am. My skin color, my hair, and the way I view the world and society has a lot to do with both cultures of my parents. If a person picks Black/ African American, or White, Asian etc.,It then causes the person to omit, deny, and not have a value towards the parent they are excluding. Why not be able to include both parents in your selection because in all actuality the person is both of the parents, both races. We need to join together and get some boxes added to applications. I am shocked as to why no one is fighting to change these boxes and or add these boxes to applications, forms, questionnaires, etc.!
