The Investor

Before I went ahead and self-published my books, I wanted to see if I could get someone to invest and help me get the books out. I ran across an old friend and made contact but merely to make contact. Upon the connection he tells me that he and his partner are looking for books that they could make into a movie. Great. I tell him I just finished two short stories and I would be more than willing to sit down and tell him about the stories. We talk about old times and what's been going on in our lives. Some how we lost touch and in no time it seemed that time had not left us. I told him I see he is still married and he tells me that this is now his second wife. He has two boys and he is making major moves in his field of choice. He is a CEO of his company, etc. Great, he may be the guy to help me. We talk for hours just catching up. Well he calls to set up an appointment for us to discuss my book. We meet at Starbucks and I began to make my sale of my story. I have a captured audienc
