The essence of the book is to make people aware that "what stays in this house" needs to come out of this house! As long as we sweep problems under the rug, the more problems fester. The more we continue to pass a cycle of incest, molestation, lies, and secrets from us to our children we never free our family. Cycles jump from one generation to the next. The secrets you keep will take you to your grave. You are not taking them to your grave after you're dead and gone, guess what? Those secrets you knew will be compiled with more lies and begin to ride some other family member's back long after you are gone.
